Rustic Pendant Necklace with Tourmaline in Sterling Silver
Hand fabricated sterling pendant, created from bits and pieces of sterling scrap and adorned with water cast sterling bowls. I have pinned tourmaline faceted beads to the cups to add sparkle and movement.
We have a tiny cabin in the woods that backs up to forest and the ground is lush with all sorts of lichen, fern and decay. This piece speaks to that natural beauty.
This necklace is approximately 30 inches long and is adjustable. It can be doubled for a shorter choker length.
The basic care for precious metals and gemstones is to avoid any harsh chemicals including swimming pools, hot tubs, even bath and shower products will change the patina on jewelry. The best way to care for your jewelry is to polish it with a soft cloth to remove oils and brighten the surface. Much of my work has a patina added to recesses or even the entire piece which will not be happy with over polishing... If you encounter issues just reach out and I will help you.
